MCWD is seeking an experienced human resource professional with strong leadership skills, solid interpersonal and communication skills that can provide exceptional customer service. The HR/Risk Administrator, under the general direction of the General Manager, directs, plans, administers and implements a broad human resources and risk management program. These functions include recruitment and selection, employee relations, job analysis, classification, compensation and benefit strategy development, employer compliance, workers’ compensation, and risk management while providing expert professional assistance to District departments and other governmental and regulatory agencies.
The selected candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in human resources, business or public administration, public policy or a field of related work and at least 6 years of increasingly responsible human resources generalist experience. In addition, this position requires candidate to obtain any of the following certifications within twelve months from date of hire: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP. Direct experience working in the public sector is highly desirable.
