100 Water Saving Tips
Save Our Water Save Our Water is a statewide program aimed at helping Californians reduce their everyday water use.  Created in 2009 by the California Department of Water Resources and the Association of California Water Agencies, the program offers ideas and inspiration for permanently reducing water use – regardless of whether California is in a drought.
Water-wise Gardening in Monterey County Visit the Water-Wise Gardening in Monterey County web site and use an interactive program to help you create your own water-wise landscape. Features include design ideas, photo galleries, plant lists, irrigation tips, and more!  Plants were selected specifically for the Monterey County.
Watah Bug The Water Awareness Committee of Monterey County offers programs for the community, students and water-industry members throughout Monterey County, including classroom conservation and pollution prevention presentations, seminars for consumers and water-supply companies and consumers, tours of water facilities, and various publications. WAC also coordinates many events during May to celebrate Water Awareness Month.
Water Efficiency Clearinghouse WaterWiser provides news, information, research results, discussion forums, references, calendar of events, searchable information databases, and other resources primarily targeted to water conservation professionals, but freely accessible to others in the water industry and the general public.
Alliance for Water Efficency The Alliance for Water Efficiency Resource Library offers on-line resources on water conservation and efficiency. 
Home Water Works The Home Water Works quick and easy Water Calculator shows you which water uses in your home are efficient and which are not and offers simple conservation tips that save water and energy.
San Marcos Growers San Marcos Growers, in Santa Barbara, is a wholesale plant nursery grows plants appropriate to the California mediterranean climate, including many California native plants as well as trees, vines, shrubs, perennials, ornamental grasses and aquatic plants from many other parts of the world. Theweb site offers information for all gardeners about more than 1,500 different plants.
Native Sons Nursery Native Sons is a wholesale nursery that provides perennials, grasses, and shrubs that flourish in a climate defined by moderate winter rainfall and warm dry summers. The web site offers abundant information on the nursery's offerings as well as an extensive resources section and a locator to find Native Sons offerings locally.

  Water Cycle Glossary of Terms The water supply of Earth is a required element for life to exist and thrive. The water cycle is a continuous cycle that keeps water moving on and around Earth in different forms. The different stages of the water cycle include evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and collection. Each stage of the cycle leads to the next stage, and each stage is an important part of a process that helps to water plants, fill cisterns, dry up puddles, and remove floodwaters.
